Can anyone help me in writing this ID routine

BB:NUMBER
bb : letters only
YY NOT GREATER THAN BB
ELSE "Re-enter ID"

Use COMI to check and/or change the @ID. ID.NEW is empty at this stage.
Populate common variable E in case of an error.
