Hi Mikale,

I don't use crystal with T24 but are you sure you want to spend time and money to introduce 8.5 while Temenos is stopping support for VB desktop and states that crystal won't work ask before with desktop.net ??

T24 Desktop users who have made use of the embedded copy of Crystal Reports should be aware that the existing version 7 is no longer supported on Windows 7 and so the new .Net version of T24 Desktop will instead work with version 11 of Crystal Reports.Crystal reports set up with version 7 should be capable of being processed with Version 11, but it would be advisable to schedule some testing time to confirm this.

I totally agree with jpb. You should not use Crystal reports with T24. Even though as a VB developer it was one of my favorite tools.

As our bank is using T24 browser the Reporting system is the worst part of T24 that we have seen till now. After extensive search we were able to find a tool named Lasernet from EFS technologies. it works well and has the ability to design reports based on hold file data.

just to outline the process please note lasernet tool has to be given the hold spool file which is then transformed using rules and templates defined in the template designer which comes with the tool.

I have written some java file transferring tools that run when the user clicks on the Print to Server button and then the hold file generated is sent to the lasernet server and from there it is processed into a pdf and archived using their own archiving tool.

There is an api from which you can directly call the pdf from their db but we have not checked this
