Dear all.

I have one doubt, Example we have one patch which installed ready to our environment then after we check it, it affect to our data. Hence we want to cancel that patch.

How could I do?

You can't reverse a patch that's installed (routines).
But the record can be restored from history.

Depending on what the patch contains you can make backups to the records and the routines and in case something goes wrong you revert to the previos versions. This will not always work as you don't always know what elements the patch will modify.

To know what you install you can have a look at:

up to R08 :
-- F.PATCH.RELEASE and (after install) the generated file in &COMO& and &SAVEDLISTS& e.g. REL.R086514
take a backup of complete globuslib / globusbin

onwards :
-- F.T24.UPDATE.RELEASE and (after install) the generated file in &COMO& e.g. UPD.R11_SW_PositionAndReval_2 and &SAVEDLISTS& e.g. REL.R11_SW_PositionAndReval_2
take a backup of the specific t24lib/xxx / t24bin/xxx

this is one drawback of T24 r08. no rollback strategy.

To cater this however in our live environment we take a backup of the whole system(bnk+DB) abd then appy any patches or BCONs. So if any patch gives any problem we can rollback by restoring old data

But most important of all you should have an exact replica production servers to test any patch on before live deployment.

I think the procedure suggested by saahmad is the most useful (Test the pack before to install on production env). I've not seen any other way to install/deliver new packs

Do you think we can create a tool for uninstall packs on T24?
