Hi,

I want to capture the failed attempts details in report. In that report there is requirement to capture IP address. We know PROTOCOL file will save all failed attempts details. In that file there is an field "CLIENT IP ADDRESS" which captures IP address of that machine.

There is setup to capture the IP address in that PROTOCOL file. Does any one know this setup ?

Advice me on urgent please.

Thanks,
Ega.

Hi,

I know there's a field in SPF called AUDIT.APPEND.IP that is used to enable logs for inputter/authoriser ip address in the records, but I'm not sure if this enables the logging in the PROTOCOL file as well, you can try and see if it does.

Thanks for the response eyesark :)

But I do not find any field like "AUDIT.APPEND.IP. This is version R09.

Now the field is capturing server IP. It will not capture the machine ip ???

I am confused :(

I am not aware of this case. I need to capture the IP address of the user from where he has done failed attempts. This is my requirement .:(

Thanks,
Ega
