Difference in TB line & Account work bal sum was created by dfixx
Hello All,
After comparing the a Trial Balance line closing balance for an account product(1000) and the total working balance of the same account product there is a difference. This is not suppose normal I suppose. I need some of you guys with experience on this to provide assistance. See more details below
REP.NAME.LINE.NO.. TETB.2000
1 TYPE.............. DETAIL
2. 1. 1 GB DESC..... 2000
2. 3. 1 GB DESC..... GENA - Customer accounts
21. 1 ASSET.APPLIC.ID AC
25. 1 CATEGORY....... 1000 GENA Current Account
37. 1 ASSET.TYPE..... CREDIT
21. 2 ASSET.APPLIC.ID AC
25. 2 CATEGORY....... 1000 GENA Current Account
37. 2 ASSET.TYPE..... DEBIT
-TB LINE open bal debit mvmt credit closing bal
2000 GENA - Customer accounts 77,815,957.80 -27,829,527.46 21,225,991.45 71,212,421.79
-Sum of Working bala via jshell
LIST FBNK.ACCOUNT WITH CATEGORY = 1000 TOTAL WORKING.BALANCE
===================
*** Total bal 71309979.79
- We expect the Closing bal in the TB line and the Total sum of the Working balance to be equal.
-Can someone help with proper explaination of this scenario and ways to go about correcting it.

The amounts in reporting for ACCOUNT are taken from EB.CONTRACT.BALANCES at the time of report generation.
If you have transactions raised during COB (e.g. StandingOrders) it becomes very difficult to reconcile the balances.
WorkingBalance seems the wrong to use, see explanation of the different balances in ACCOUNT:
Account balances
The following balances are held on the ACCOUNT record in.
OPEN.ACTUAL.BAL
This field contains the Actual Non-Cleared Balance or 'Ledger Balance' of the Account as at the start of the day.
OPEN.CLEARED.BAL
This field contains the Cleared Balance of the Account as at the start of the day. This includes the value of all entries over the Account except any credit entries or reversed debit entries with Exposure Dates in the future.
For credit and reversal debit entries with Exposure Dates in the future, this field is updated in the start of day processing on the appropriate date.
It is possible to split a single entry amount to clear in separate periods. This feature is called exposure date splitting. For more information on this feature refer to the following sections in the user guide (Local Clearing, Application Accounting, System Tables and Teller)
ONLINE.ACTUAL.BAL
This field contains the most up to date Actual Balance of the Account. This is the same as the actual balance at the start of day (OPEN.ACTUAL.BAL) plus the value of all fully Authorised entries since the start of day.
ONLINE.CLEARED.BAL

WORKING.BALANCE
This field contains the present balance of the Account, which is used for checks done by the LIMITS system in the start of day this figure will be the same as the cleared balance figure (ONLINE.CLEARED.BAL).
For Nostros and Internal Accounts the field is updated by all accounting entries when they have been fully authorised.
