Increase/Decrease Principal for AA deposit Product

Hello all,

A requirement for the bank in which I am based is asking for the possibility to increase/decrease principal amount for any deposit product created.

I have tried the 'New Activity' link from the arrangement overview and decreased using the adj bal let's say -10T. Once authorized, the current principal amount got decreased. Is there any other step I should follow?

Also, when trying for an increase using the same steps, I am getting error 'CURRENCY MWK1470100010001 CANNOT CREATE DEFAULT' when trying the new bal amount or the adj amount.

Can anyone please help?

The system is asking to create this inter ac - MWK1470100010001. Create this internal account and do the increasing.

When you are able to decrease the deposit fund, definitley you can increase the deposit fund also.

Hi,

System will create a EXPECTED bill type when you create a deposits arrangement.

Example: If you create a deposits arrangement for 100T, then system will create a deposits expected bill for 100T and then based on auto or manual funding, system will post 100T towards the CURACCOUNT.

If you do adjust balance and increase by 10T, then only the ECB & STMT.ENTRY will hold the balance for 110T, when you consolidate the bills it will just have 100T.

From the user point of view there is no clue how this 10T is increased and there is no log in the bill details.

As Arun said, You have to create the internal suspense account to post this contra entry.
