Setting up Printing -Windows Printing Environment was created by Fox
Hi everyone
I'm new to the site and rather new to T24.
I need assistance with setting up the Jbase printing part of our T24 environment.
This is what i've done so far :
1. On my AppServer, i've installed a Printer as local with the correct driver(postscript). Printer model is HP Laserjet 2605.
2. I've selected LPT1 as a port and created a TCP/IP Port pointing to the IP of the printer.
3. I've enabled Printer pooling.
4. I've shared the Printer as HPTEST
5. In Jbase, I ran this command as instructed :
SP-CREATE T24 PROG lp -d HPTEST (This completed without errors)
6. Then I ran SP-ASSIGN HPTEST (No errors)
7. Then we test by doing a jlp remote.cmd
8. Nothing happens at all.
9. Nothing in the queue, nothing!
Any advice?
Here my software environment
Server: Windows Server 2008
T24 version : R08
Jbase version : 5.0.16
What else can I try?
Thanks

if you go to SP-STATUS can you see the STANDARD printer? Is your print job queued in there?
SP-STATUS output would look like below. I tried without specifiying the printer jlp somefilename
then it goes to this printer.
UEUE NAME DEVICE STATUS #Q SKIP XLT BLKSZ
STANDARD 0 KILLED 97 1
TEST PROG lp -d prtutest ASSIGNED 0 1
