Hi,

System shows the same error when I try to login for first time after setting up the Localhost in my machine (R08 release).

jBASE: Error 13 while creating a user object

Can anyone please guide...
Is there any permission needs to be set? If Yes, then please explain how to set

Awaiting for the reply.
Thanks in advance,

Hi,

People in this forum guided me with few steps for resolving the same problem, and it worked for me. Hence Im sending you the same steps which T24DIS and kripesh sent to me. Hope this helps.

You need to set permissions to the user and also to the jBase directory.

If you are using unix, use the following commands.
chmod –R 777 /home/USERNAME
chmod –R 777 directory path of where u have installed jbase

If you are using windows, check whether the user is having enough permission and also the jBase directory.

here are a few things that you can try apart from giving full permissions to your T24 directory.

a) Try installing your Localhost in a different drive other than C:
b) See if you have any spaces in the folder name, if so remove it.
Eg (The localhost folder name can be R08Localhost and not R08 Localhost.
Note the folder name without space in filename.
c) When you create an Account to access R08 in admistrative tools> user and Groups try adding it to Administrators group.

d) Even after giving permissions to the top Folder sub folder might not have the same permissions, simply give permissions to bnk.run and bnk.data folder again just in case.

Thanks,
